Jimmy Walker's stats in recent months have been pretty woeful by his high standards, but I am a little surprised to see him chalked up as the outsider in a match with hothead Billy Horschel, who is hardly setting the world alight either of late. Walker leads the 3-year h-2-h's 31-18 (3 draws) and has a length advantage over his opponent, which may or may not be significant come Sunday. Neither have really sparkled in Majors, and Jimmy missed the cut here in 2010, but is a much better player now, and the price looks right here.
5.05 pts Jimmy Walker to beat Billy Horschel at 100/101 (dnb) @ Pinnacle
This selection will divide opinion, and I can see the argument that McIlroy is an extremely risky match/spread proposition this week on his first tournament back from injury, but how often are you going to get the chance to back him at odds against in a match with anyone other than Spieth in the near future? Whistling Straits should be right up Rory's alley given his tee to green game (third on debut in 2010) and while Jason Day will be at home here too, a healthy Rory leads the Australian 8-1 (1 tie) in h-2-h's this year so has to be worth chancing.
5 pts Rory McIlroy to beat Jason Day @ 29/25 (dnb) @ Pinnacle.
