Matsuyama's all-round stats were superb at The PGA Championships and even better in the Wyndham last week so he is clearly playing with a lot of confidence. He debuts at Bethpage Black but is a long and straight hitter and basically a top quality ball striker when on his game, so the track should play to his strengths.
