3-2; +4.93pts Pre-tournament plays: BACK to win 20pts Marc Leishman 17 47th Leishman competed with the best for three rounds last week, but a 76 on Saturday saw him out of the tournament and he would finish 7th. He has been in great form for several months and, like many Australians before him, has been able to maintain that form once the PGA Tour re-starts in January. He has a very good record around Waialae with top-40 finish in all eight attempts and it is easy to see him near the top of the leaderboard yet again. Brian Harman 28 4th Harman is another player who has maintained his form over the winter break. Including the QBE Shootout, his last five finishes read 5th-8th-4th-3rd-3rd. He played very well last week, but was simply over-powered when paired with Dustin Johnson and it was difficult to see how he could live with that power play. Johnson is missing this week and such power is not as advantageous at Waialae, so he is still value at much shorter odds this week and at least maintain his run of three consecutive top-20 finishes here. LAY 20pts liability Jordan Spieth 6.2 18th Spieth was not his usual model of consistency last week, finishing 9th and shooting one of the highest and one of the lowest rounds of the week. His putting was also not up to its usual standard so, even though he should be favourite, he is one to oppose at such odds. Justin Thomas 9.8 14th Thomas also played poorly last week and has a new caddy with Jimmy Johnson injured. He is defending champion, but he was last week as well and that didn't help him perform particularly well. Kevin Kisner 26 25th Kisner is another who finished well down the leaderboard last week, ranking particularly poorly in greens in regulation. He does have top-5 finishes here in the last two years, but his form needs to be better to warrant such short odds.
