You could probably make a case for List being favourite against Kaymer in a regulation PGA tour event at present, but the latter looks a good investment on this test. The German has slid down the rankings in the last couple of years, but sprung back to life in Italy a fortnight ago, topping the G.I.R stats and also putting well. That combination will work most weeks and he certainly won't be fazed by the challenge of Shinnecock Hills.
