Head-to-Head Dashboard

Select the player using the drop-down in the top-right corner. The list of players is drawn from the entry list from this week's event.

There are four sections to the dashboard above:

    12 Month Tournament Head-to-Head Score:

This table provides the finishing positions of the two players in common events over the last 12 months, as well as providing an overall head-to-head score.

    Event/Course Head-to-Head Score:

This table presents the finishing positions of the two players in this week's event and this week's course. You can switch between event and course history by click on the 'Event' and 'Course' buttons.

    12 Month Strokes Gained Performance:

This bar chart displayed both players' average strokes gained: total per round in each event that they played over the last 12 months. The selected Player 1 is identified by the blue line, while the selected Player 2 is identified by the yellow line.

    12 Month Average Stats:

In the left pane, z-scores are presented for each player's 12-month average performance in the five main traditional stats - driving distance (DD), driving accuracy (DA), greens in regulation (GIR), scrambling (SC) and putting average (PA). A z-score meaures how many standard deviations the player's average is from the Tour average. By definition, the Tour average will be a z-score of zero with positive values indicating that the player performs better than the Tour average in that statistic and negative values indicating performance worse than the Tour average.

The right pane contains each player's 12-month average performance in the five main strokes gained stats - strokes gained: tee-to-green (SG:T2G), strokes gained: off-the-tee (SG:Tee), strokes gained: approach-the-green (SG:App), strokes gained: around-the-green (SG:ATG) and strokes gained: putting (SG:P). As with the z-scores in the left pane, the Tour average should be zero, with positive values indicating that the player performs better than the Tour average in that statistic and negative values indicating performance worse than the Tour average.

This provides a graphical illustration of the areas of the game in which one player is better than the other. Combine this with the Event Profile page here to see the key areas of the game that will needed in this week's event.
