Only a part-time schedule based around majors for Watson, but there is no
evidence of lack of competitiveness when competing in Senior majors. In the
three since the start of July, he has finished 3rd, 1st and 5th and on that last
occasion (U.S. Senior Open), he held the lead after 36 holes. He should be
just as competitive this week as he won on his debut at this course in 2003.
D.A. Weibring to win 25/1 e.w. @

Weibring recorded his first finish outside the top-10 last week since May and
that was courtesy of a very poor run of nine holes in the middle of his last
round; until then he had been very much in contention for the Greater Seattle
Classic title. But he still kept his lead in the Tour's 'Top-10 Finishes' and
Greens in Regulation categories and still ranks 2nd on the Money List. With a
record of top-10 finishes in both years on this course, he should clearly be at
lower odds. Tom Kite to win 25/1 e.w. @
William Hill
And so should Kite now that his return to form is evident. He struggled earlier
in the season as he tried to play as many PGA Tour events as possible, but he
had not played there since June and he has regained his confidence on this Tour,
finishing 5th and 2nd in his last two starts. And with a course history that
reads 2nd and 4th in the last two years, he is also expected to contend.
Morris Hatalsky to win 40/1 e.w. @

In terms of consistency, Hatalsky can certainly match Purtzer. He has finished
outside the top-20 only once since March and only twice since January and there
have been signs recently that he was returning to his better form of April/May.
Last week he entered the final round tied for the lead with Eger and Stadler,
but struggled on the greens on fell to 5th. It was unusual for Hatalsky who
ranks 1st and 3rd in putts per round and putting average respectively and
shouldn't be repeated around a course on which he has finished 5th and 14th. |
