Toshiba Senior Classic FINAL RESULT:
1-2; -1.00pts Weibring 28th
Levi 2nd
Hatalsky 8th Just can't get that breakout week on this Tour this year.
Hatalsky just couldn't quite close the gap on the top-4 places and
finished two shots short, while it was the same story with Levi. He got
within two shots of Johnson with three holes to play, but no closer in
the final round. Outright plays (total stake per play: 2pts)
D.A. Weibring to win 14/1 e.w. @

Had a putt on the last green on Sunday to force a playoff, but it lipped
out. However, he can put that right this week on a course on which he
finished 6th last year. His record in California is very impressive with
finishes of 6th, 5th, 7th and 2nd in the last twelve months and with
eight top-10 finishes in his last twelve starts, he is clearly a player
who should, once again, be there or thereabouts on Sunday evening.
Wayne Levi to win 16/1 e.w. @

Levi is another in a rich vein of form that has carried over from last
season. Since September 2004, he has played in ten tournaments, finished
in the top-20 every time, winning once and finishing in the top-5 four
times. Even after a disastrous opening 76 last week, he shot 68 in the
2nd round to give himself a chance of a top-5 finish and so on a course
on which he has finished in the top-12 on all three previous
appearances, he is another player who should feature this week.
Morris Hatalsky to win 25/1 e.w. @

With five top-10 finishes in his last eight starts, Hatalsky is another
who is expected to feature each week. He finished 2nd in very
unfortunate circumstances in the rain-shortened Outback Steakhouse
Pro-Am three weeks ago and was 2nd in this event last year, so will be
very keen to convert his chances this week. Last year, he had tied
Purtzer for the 36-hole lead, but despite shooting 68 in the final
round, it was one stroke too many. These looks decent odds for a player
with such a decent history. |
