Round Two Trades (Poor display from the leader coupled with a vastly improved performance from Goosen led, unfortunately, to a fair loss.)

Sell Retief Goosen over Tim Clark at 2 with IG Sport for 0.25 Pts M/U 34, Loss 8 Pts
No reason not to play this match again. Goosen was complaining about the state of his driving before play and two double bogeys and three bogeys suggest he needs to improve somewhat. Clark leads the event but unlike other lesser names who would see R2 as a round of consolidation when leading he will see the opportunity to distance himself from the other 3 players in the "big 4" in the event as Els and Immelman are well behind with Goosen nearest to him 5 back.

Round One Trades (One out of two on the day. Backstrom started well and was 2 clear at one point but fell away just after the turn. R2 trades later)

Sell Retief Goosen over Tim Clark at 3 with IG Sport for 0.25 Pts M/U -25, Profit 7 Pts
On current form this is arguably a choice match so to get 3pts start is a fair trade. Certainly, over a long sequence of bets you would be better off with a 3 pt start on this close matchup than a 3 pt handicap. Clark comes into the event having played at the Target challenge in the States which is a concern but 3pts is too good a start to ignore

Sell Charl Schwartzel over Joakim Backstrom at 9 with IG Sport for 0.25 Pts. M/U 22, Loss 3.25 Pts
Backstrom hasn't broke 70 in 13 rounds, Schwartzel was 2nd last week in the Dunhill whilst Backstrom has only posted one top 20 all year (admittedly it was a win in the AA St Omer Open). All in all, everything points to a win for the tall South African, but in Spread Betting every player has his price and at 9 Schwartzel has to be taken on. An argument for the bet if unconvinced purely by price is that in head to head matches when playing at the same event, Schwartzel leads 26-17 with 8 ties. Certainly on those numbers 9 is far too high.
