Charl Schwartzel to beat Louis Oosthuizen - 9 points @ 10-11 (Sportingbet) (5-6 Stan James)
This was the most obvious matchup of the season so far (ahem, perhaps the year) but there is no question who is the most likely winner and it's early Christmas present time.
Both home players are in terrific form with Charl's 16/5/3/1 perhaps being overshadowed by his compatriots five top-6 finishes in five starts. Nevertheless, before the win in Thailand, Schwartzel was a certain winner-in-waiting with improvement in every aspect of his game. It was never going to take too long for the former Masters champion to regain prime form but last weeks dominant win will have given him a confidence boost that could take him to a level of superiority over the next few weeks. Course form is excellent with a victory and four runner-up finishes in seven starts and he will be riding a cloud this week.
At face value, Louis also has that 'winner' tag just hovering around but he has looked far from convincing in a finish, blowing at least two chances in the last month and fading out of contention in the UAE. Never mind the blown five shot lead just weeks beforehand, that last effort was particularly poor as after three days of perfect golf it looked as if he simply couldn't gain another gear when it mattered eventually finishing just behind his matchup rival. As a complete contrast to his good friend, Oosthuizen looks devoid of confidence and he won't gain much from his last four efforts at Leopard Creek - all missed cuts.
