Oosthuizen coes into the event in rock solid form with top 6 finishes in his last 5 starts against much stronger fields. His only previous start in the Nedbank resulted in a last place finish back in 2010, however his performance can be largely discounted given that it was only his 3rd start after an enforced lay-off due to an ankle injury and he was still trying to re-discover his game. A better indicator of his credentials on the Gary Player Country Club set-up is his Dimension Data Pro-Am win in 2007, only his second career victory at that point. In a field lacking depth he looks a solid each way wager.
