Bets: 4 Wins: 3 Losses: 1 Profit/Loss = +3.54 pts
Matchup bets: (All bets: Total Stake 2pts) Olin Browne to beat Steve Elkington -110 @ Stan James No doubting Browne’s current form is excellent while Elkington has only played once since the beginning of September finishing 28th last weekend (Browne finished 17th) and was in average form prior to his break. Browne is ranked 4th in Driving Accuracy and 8th in GIR in this field. Browne has made 6 out of 8 US Open cuts and won the 99 Colonial (a similar course to this). On h2h’s Browne beats Elkington 18-17 over 3 years, 6-5 over 12 months and 3-1 over 3 months. Sergio Garcia to beat Jim Furyk -110 @ Centrebet It’s about time that Sergio had a big win and this could be his week. The make-up of the course is perfect for a player of his type; deadly straight, excellent shot-maker, at-times abysmal putter. He has an excellent record in this event with four top-tens from five appearances and has shown his recent form is unquestionable with a victory in the European Open followed by a top-15 finish at Rod Pampling to beat Peter Lonard -120 @ Victor Chandler, Carib Pampling is very good player in windy conditions. Both his driving accuracy and GIR stats have improved from last year and he finished 6th in this years Colonial. His current form is decent having finished 26th last time out and 9th in the Lumber (he was in 2nd place going into the final round). However, Lonard’s recent form is very poor. Not only has he not had a top-25 finish since the beginning of June but this season he has missed the cut on almost 40% of his starts and recently his ball-striking stats have deteriorated badly. David Toms to beat Toms probably has been one of the most consistent players on the tour this year. Not the longest off the tee he is very accurate and hits a lot of greens in regulation. He also has four top-10 finishes in the last five years at the Colonial. Love on the other hand has been a nightmare to follow this year. His accuracy off the tee deteriorates on a yearly basis (probably due to his dodgy back and neck) and it has happened again this year. On the h2h’s Toms leads 11-7 over the last 12 months and 3-1 over the last 3 months. And now we are on a course which is likely to favour the accurate Toms over the power of Love. < -110 also available from Sportingbet, Sporting Odds and BetFred >
