Round 1 play (4pts):

South Korea to beat Belgium +100 @ Bet365  WON by 1
Not hard to oppose Belgium. They do have Nicolas Colsaerts in their team - he won the 2011 China Open - but he is likely to be playing the 1st round fourballs on his own. He has chosen his best friend - Jerome Theunis - as his partner, but Theunis gave up the game at the end of the 2010 season when he could only manage three cuts from seven starts on the Alps Tour, which is two tiers below the European Tour. And now he is playing in a World Golf Championship event! Kim and Park have been playing to a much higher level on the Japan Tour - Kim has four top-15 finishes in his last seven starts - and should be able to beat Colsaerts on his own.

South Africa to beat Ireland +100 @ Bet365 [also available @ Stan James]  LOST by 2
Looking for a case of deja vu ... two years ago, McDowell and McIlroy held the lead for the first three rounds, only to shoot 70 in the final round and lose out to Italy who had started the day in 2nd place alongside Sweden. In fact, the last time that the 3rd round leaders won this event was back in 2004 when South Africa (Rory Sabbatini & Trevor Immelman) saw a seven-shot lead whittled down to four shots by the end of the day. South Africa are in the better position (two shots back) to shoot the lower final round score and shouldn't be the underdogs.
