In what is quite a hectic part of the season for most players Stricker is going to be amongst the freshest in the field after choosing to sit out The Open. Despite his light shedule he still seems to be keeping in decent nick and he has a good record on this course over the years, inlcuding a second place finish last year.

 

Bradley has spoken of his liking for the course and how it perfectly suits his game, aptly demonstrated by his win last year. 15th place at Muirfield has to be seen as a positive sign of form as the conditions there, unlike this week, weren't really those you'd expect him to thrive on.
