7-4; -18.34pts

Pre-rd3 plays:

BACK 1pt

William McGirt 34  7th
Emiliano Grillo 25  14th
McGirt fell back yesterday after leading in rd1, but he is still in 3rd place and only two shots off the pace, so these seem large odds for a player who won the Memorial Tournament a month ago
Grillo is also in 3rd place and is also in good form having finished 2nd last week in Japan; he is also playing well this week - 2nd in greens in regulation - so warrants attention at these odds

LAY 20pts liability

Jordan Spieth 10.5  3rd
Bubba Watson 55  14th
Charl Schwartzel 95  7th
Harris English 280  27th
Young-Han Song 280  21st
Adam Scott 14  10th
Dustin Johnson 38  1st
Spieth is only three shots back in 6th place, but his form has been erratic recently and his ball-striking has again been poor this week - he ranks 50th in greens in regulation - so he looks unlikely to maintain his current leaderboard position
In 14th place and in poor form - Watson's last five finishes on the PGA Tour have been 28th-37th-43rd-65th-51st - it is easy to oppose Watson
Schwartzel is opposed in similar fashion - he is in 14th place alongside Watson and hasn't had a top-10 finish since mid-March
English is even further back in 22nd place and should be available at even larger odds - none of his three Tours win have come from outside the top-2 after rd2 and none have been against strong fields
Song is closer to the lead in 10th place, but he has never previously played on the PGA Tour or in a WGC event and hasn't even achieved a top-10 finish in Asia in any of his last ten starts
Scott is another who has been in indifferent form recently - his last top-10 finish was four months ago - so these looks short odds for someone in 6th place when the World #1 leads the event
It is Johnson's first event since winning the U.S. Open, but he has not replicated that week's form - he hit only seven greens in regulation yesterday - so looks very unlikely to win from his current position of 22nd on the leaderboard

Pre-rd4 plays:

BACK 1pt

David Lingmerth 10  7th

With good form stats - 12th in the U.S. Open and 6th on his course debut here last year - and as a player who has already won against a strong field on the PGA Tour - he won the 2015 Memorial Tournament - Lingmerth represents value at these odds for a player who is only one shot off the lead and should take advantage if Day struggles again off the tee.

LAY 20pts liability

Justin Thomas 70  33rd
Thomas is in 8th place and, even though he has played well this week, is opposed because of inconsistent ball-striking which has resulted in him struggling this year to match his form of 2015: he has had only one top-10 finish in the last four months, but had eight in 2015
