I usually focus on all-round stats and previous head-to-head records when punting on matchbets, but watching last week, it's very hard to escape the fact that Zach Johnson doesn't look comfortable at all out there with his new equipment, and given his recent record at Doral is modest by his standards, I am happy to side with course debutant Russell Knox. Knox played very well tee-to-green last week and has plenty of solid form in Florida, so has to be the call at odds against.

With doubts surrounding Hideki Matsuyama's well-being at present (pulled out of the Honda with a hip injury) it also seemd prudent to oppose him with another course debutant in Justin Thomas, who hasn't had too many problems in the last year without a previous look at a venue in tournament play. Thomas played superbly last week and is clearly a man to watch this season.
