Pre Event trades:

Buy C Parry over G Ogilvy 72 Hole Match Bet at 0.75 with Sporting Index for 1 pt. MU 5

Parry has a good record round this course, Ogilvy though in recent years has had a somewhat average return to his visits. Current form is a little sparse and difficult to judge but that will be the case for us all until the new season kicks in in earnest so trades at the moment will rely more heavily on stats and course form. With these in mind i would have priced up Parry as a clear favourite.

Post Round 1 Trades:

Sell J Moseley over R Pampling on a 72 Hole Match Bet at 1.4 with Cantor Sport for 1 pt. MU 2

Moseley has a 2 shot lead over Pampling so far and has been priced accordingly. However in my view with only 1/4 of the event played, Pampling would still be a slight favourite overall even with the 2 shot handicap. Pampling has had a full season now playing on the PGA Tour and has acquitted himself fairly well without making too many headlines, though he did achieve 5 top 10s. Moseley however, has had a fairly average European season with only 3 Top 10s.

Buy John Senden on the Leaderboard Index at 6 with Sporting Index for 0.5 pts. MU 0

Senden has been given, in my opinion, a fairly derisory quote from Sporting. Other players of arguably similar ability have higher quotes but are not as far up the Leaderboard after the first round. He has good course form as last year he shot 77 in the first round and still managed to finish 11th. This year, after a first round 68, he is handily placed in the top 10. A fair price would be 8-11 given the current make-up of the leaderboard.

Post Round 2 Trades

Buy Nick O'Hern over Geoff Ogilvy on a 72 Hole Match Bet at 5.5 with IG Index for 1 pt. MU -6

O'Hern has a greater course record and is currently sitting handily placed. Ogilvy, yesterday, shot 76 to put him in a poor position when he had done so well in Round 1. All in all, O'Hern should probably be a higher price than he is and at 5 ahead we only have to give up half the spread issued on the bet to get with O'Hern with half the event to go.

Buy Jarrod Moseley Finishing Position at 13 with Sporting Index for 0.5 pts. MU 3

Moseley's stats suggest that this price is possibly too low. He could go on and have a good week, but there are sufficient reasons for making this trade. Your potential downside is 24 pts but a collapse in the final 2 rounds could mean a profit of much more. I would price him around 14-17 based on the current leaderboard.

Buy Robert Allenby over Adam Scott on a 72 Hole Match Bet at 6 with IG Index for 1 pt. MU 0

Buying Allenby here for free as he is 6 ahead. He has shown greater form this week and is deservedly leading whereas Scott has struggled somewhat. Everything in the first two rounds points to this 6 shot lead extending rather than decreasing and the chance to do so without a "spread" is too good to miss even although I had high hopes for Scott going into this week.

Post Round 3 Trades

Buy Peter Lonard on the Leaderboard Index at 8 with Sporting Index for 0.5 pts. MU 0

I have priced this up myself based on the current situation and i had Lonard a few points more. Reports suggest Lonard's putter is letting him down and if he can get that sorted tonight then maybe he will get up the leaderboard far enough for this to produce a good profit.

(Note: the stakes have been corrected to fall in line with the established practice of 1pt on match bets and 0.5pts on leaderboard indices and finishing positions)
