Tobago Plantations Senior Classic FINAL
RESULT: 1-2; +9.25pts Gale 31st
Good 37th
Carbonetti 1st Entered the final day with one selection in the top-6
in all five events this week so quite a relief to get one home after the
first two ended in failure. Very impressive performance from Carbonetti,
particularly in playing the final nine under-par when conditions were
difficult. Outright plays (total stake per
play: 1pt) Terry Gale to win 14/1 e.w. @

Gale is definitely a player to side with in this part of the world. He
opened the 2003 season with 6th place in Jamaica then won the two Tour
events in Barbados and Tobago and last year, he finished 3rd here in
Tobago and 2nd in Jamaica. So it was no surprise that he finished in the
top-5 last week and will surely do so again in Tobago. David Good
to win 16/1 e.w. @

Good finished ahead of his compatriot last year, but had to settle for
2nd place behind Carl Mason. But having finished 5th on this course the
previous year and having last week extended his run of top-10 finishes
to seven in his last eight starts, he is another who should be expected
to feature on the leaderboard this week. Luis Carbonetti to win
18/1 e.w. @
SkyBet
There wasn't much sign of Carbonetti on the leaderboard last week, but
having opened with a 77, it was a very impressive effort to still finish
in the top-10. It was a mark that he reached in his three Caribbean
events last year when he did win the Jamaica Classic so, provided that
he does not repeat the start that he had last week, he is another
selection who has a very good record on this course and in this region
and is playing very well at the moment.
