Outright Picks - Japan Tour

Asahi-Ryukoken Yomiuri Aso-Iizuka
FINAL RESULT: 1-2; +16.75pts
Chand wd
Yang 1st
Suzuki 19th
Had hoped to get two place wins after Yang and Suzuki had been 5th
and 6th with one round to play, so really a bonus to get a winner.
Finally brings the Japan Tour ytd record into profit after a number of
near misses.
Outright plays (1pt):
Dinesh Chand to win 20/1 e.w. @

A weaker field aheadof the main three events on the Japan Tour
schedule, but Chand is still available at 20/1. That is despite
finishing 5th last week to extend his run of consecutive top-10 finishes
to five. No-one else can match that form and having already own the
Yomiuri Open in June, this looks a very good opportunity for him to
convert that consistency into another win.
Yong-Eun Yang to win 30/1 e.w. @
GolfingGods
Take out last month's starts in the WGC event in Ireland and the Dunhill
Links Championship in Scotland and Yang's last four finishes on the
Japan Tour have been 1st, 5th, 2nd and then 11th on his return to Japan.
Chand might be in the best form overall, but solely on Japan Tour
performances, that is a very impressive run of form from Yang. He should
be little more than half these odds.
Toru Suzuki to win 40/1 e.w. @

With this course being used for the first time, it is another form horse
who earns an outright selection. Suzuki has had four top-10 finishes in
his last six starts, including a win in the Acom International last
month and a runners-up finish in the ABC Championship last week. He is a
player who regularly struggles for consistency but will record a decent
number of top-3 finishes in a season. At the moment, he is combining
both so should not be at these odds.
