Horne 56th
Butterfield 9th Good attempt by Butterfield apart from one spell in
the middle of the third round when he had six bogeys in seven holes -
holes on which he was level par for the rest of the week. Proved to very
important as he finished only six shots behind the winner. Outright
plays (total stake per play: 1pt) Scott Dunlap to win 25/1 e.w.

Secured a top-10 finish last week despite closing with a 76 and it
signalled a return to form after not playing a Tour event between
February 2004 and the South African Open two weeks ago. Under the
circumstances, his 40th place finish was very creditable. Coming to a
course on which his form reads 2nd and 5th, this could yet be his best
week of 2005. Keith Horne to finish in the top-four 10/1 @

By contrast, Horne has been very busy, playing on both the Asian PGA and
the full Southern Africa Tour last year. It was a schedule that has
resulted in seven top-5 finishes in the past 12 months and that includes
one in this event when every round was 68 or under. However, he has not
won since 1998 when he was a wire-to-wire winner on this Tour, so the
place-only option looks better than the 50/1 e.w. available with SkyBet.
Andrew Butterfield to finish in the top-four 17/1 @

Also opting for a place-only play on former European Tour player,
Butterfield. He has never won a Tour event, but he finished 5th last
week and that was his fourth top-5 finish since May last year, the
others coming on the European Challenge Tour. He does have course
experience and opened with a 64 to be one of the early leaders last
year, so these look generous odds for just a top-5 finish. |
